Gardens and Animal Attractions at Paultons

The whole of Paultons Park is built around the famous 10 acre Paultons Gardens, featuring 160 year old Cedar Trees and originally laid out by 'Englands greatest gardener' Capability Brown. The Gardens have some excellent features such as a rockery, tropical plants and a Japanese Garden. They are an absolute must see for all visitors of the park.
Paultons also has a number of animal attractions dotted around the park. There is an Exotic Bird Collection located within and around the central Park Gardens. This includes Hornbills, Tropical Birds and even Vultures. On the other side of the park there is the African Aviary, featuring Emus. Following the Rio Grande Railway you will come across Meerkats, Wallabies, The Penguin Paddock and the Tortoise House.
The Wallabies at Paultons Park have surprised everyone. Now two months old the babies have made a few housing changes! One of this seasons wallabies had been rejected by its mother and very unusually the rejected baby has taken up with another mum! The adult female has taken both baby wallabies and is currently carrying them in her pouch!
