Longdown Activity Farm
Longdown Activity Farm is an excellent family attraction to visit during your stay in the New Forest - certainly a must see for all the animal lovers in the family!
This immaculately run farm is packed with daily activities for everyone. Each day starts with the bottle-feeding of the farms calves and goat kids, it is such a great opportunity for the kids to see how a farm really works. The kids will get to actually handle the smaller animals after the feeding before having the opportunity to participate in the trailer and tractor rides.
There is a wide variety of animals to see on the farm, pigs, sheep and goats make up the majority but there is also a delightful pair of Shetland ponies, Ben and Joe, to compliment the vast Shire horse, affectionately known as Billy. Alpacas and Rabbits are also part of the huge family at Longdown.
Longdown Activity Farm runs other activity days alongside the everyday care of the animals, the farm has other great things going on:
- Farmers Day
- Kerry's Craft Days
- Colouring Competitions
The farm is available for Birthday Parties throughout the season, but need to be pre-booked as the diary fills up quickly at this popular attraction. Party bags can be arranged direct from the Farm's Gift Shop to any value.
There is a fantastic new indoor play area which is really useful when the weather becomes slightly more unpredictable! The barn near the goats pens also houses three large trampolines; one for the under threes, one for the under tens and one for the under nineties! All trampolines are surrounded with protective netting to avoid any unnecessary accidents during your time at Longdown.
There is a Tea Room for all your catering needs, this supplies a vast range of sandwiches, hot and cold drinks, biscuits, cakes and snacks. There is also a babies' bottle/food warming facility.
